Report RSS 7 Days to Die Weapons Pack - Mod Release Date + Extra Details (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Chernobyl)

Posted by on

Things have calmed down between the bandits and the mercenaries in and around the perimeter of Dead City for now. New intel has been acquired on the weapons shipment that is due to arrive in the Zone.

Rumours had started spreading earlier last week about a new shipment of weapons making their way into the Zone. It has been said that this new shipment is apparently coming all the way from the state of Navezgane, somewhere in the United States. More details have been revealed about its existence.

Intel states that speaking to any of the Zone's traders (depending on the mod patch installed, more info on that below) will allow you to probe them for information on the prices of any new weapons and about the availability of any new weapons, the latter of which is entirely dependent on how much money you have and whether or not you already have that item. You'll also be able to check out prices for ammunition, too. However, due to its rarity, it wouldn't be advised that you go looking around for any new types of ammunition. The Zone's traders just might be your best bet for getting your hands on anything new to play with.

As stated in my previous update (which can be viewed here), this mod allows players to acquire any new weapons only from Sidorovich and Forester by default, though a patch has been included to make any new weapons available from many more of the Zone's traders, making all weapons available across all factions. A new game would be highly recommended when starting to play with this mod. For those who may have missed my previous update, a short preview video of this mod can be found below.

Vanilla weapons can be collected, but will be instantly scrapped into weapon parts that can be sold to mechanics for a tidy profit. When a weapon that is not included within this mod is collected (i.e. the SVDm-2 sniper rifle), that weapon will be scrapped immediately while showing a prompt on the screen. This will not affect the performance of NPCs in combat or when it comes to them using the Zone's many weird and wonderful firearms.

Speaking to any of the Zone's mechanics (depending on who they are and where they are based) will allow you to trade in any weapon parts for a bit of extra money. These can easily be stored away in your backpack until you come across a mechanic who's willing to pay you for bringing any weapon parts to them. For those minor raids, the extra pocket money can help you buy your daily bread. As for those major raids, you could net yourself a pretty penny. This can also be your ticket to buying yourself one of the new weapons that have been put up for sale.

Buying any of the new weapons will also give you a bit of ammunition to play around with. As expected, the better weapons come at a greater cost, but these have been balanced to make them worth the time and effort. If you don't feel like treating yourself, you can always part with your spare change to buy some extra ammunition for any of your current weapons.

All weapons, names and animations have been modded to emulate the Alpha 15 version of 7 Days to Die. For any hardcore fans of that game, giving these weapons a go while on your travels could make for an epic treat. New and existing animations have been combined with an interesting array weapon sounds taken directly from 7 Days to Die, allowing for the creation of an arsenal that is more than suitable for the zombie apocalypse.

To benefit player immersion, a few new character portraits (taken from the console versions of 7 Days to Die) have also been made available on the character creation screen upon starting a new game, allowing you to simulate an atmospheric journey through the eyes of Navezgane's most efficient fighters. Existing character portraits (the ones already included in CoC) are still readily available and have not been altered.

This new shipment of weapons, fit for any survivalist, is expected to be made available on 18/06/2022. I would stay vigilant as many other eager stalkers may be willing to beat you to the punch. The question is, can you blame them?

Updates on my future projects will be posted in a similar manner to this blog. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. Until then, thank you for giving this material a read and I wish you the best on your travels.

Best of luck, Jacob.
