Some of you guys need to get your facts straight.

I've been involved in the Development of the last HL1 Firearms Rc-3.0, doing animation for some of the neglected weapons for that final release.

I've been involved in Development of Incursion Mod (INC), Firearms:Source(FA:S), and now Firearms-2 FA:2.

I've been playing FA from 2.5 all the way through 3.0 as well.

Here are some facts.

Firearms:Source (FAS) from the beginning, has been built from CS:S content from the ground up, including textures, art, models, sounds, code, and anything else they could scrap together to try and pass this off as Firearms. I know this because I was on the development team and worked hands on for 6 months with the crew of FA:S.

Using CS:S as a base to make firearms, is not only an insult to what Firearms was about, but goes against everything Firearms was made for.

Firearms-2 (FA-2) has been built up from scratch, from nothing.
Everything that has been created for, and used in the development of FA-2 has been done by dedicated people who grew up playing Firearms(HL1)
and who are willing to bring the things they loved most about the game to the updated source engine with the quality of Halflife-2.

WAW, while it was a very impressive concept and good team behind it to make it happen, suffered the same fate as many mods have and real life intervened and they have since stopped development.

The FA-2 members have 1 goal, to bring the most true form of the game that all the Firearms players loved about it, and bring it to an updated engine with all the same quality, attention to detail and dynamics that the original Firearms team brought you.

And after playing both FAS, and FA-2 in development I know which one is the true game that deserves the name "Firearms".

This you will have to decide for yourself once we've released the game.
