Yea, things do seem slow right now, actually things are very very slow. The RA3 SDK did just come out recently, and hopefully we can start to get something done now. But as always we have one thing holding us back, and this would be textures. We need people who can texture, and if we can get those people, we would get a whole lot more done.

We still have not decided on adding the ori. Most likely if they were added, it would be a non playable like faction that would appear only on some maps and worlds.

Campaign is undecided on right now. Our first release will be skirmish and online multiplayer only. After that we will consider a campaign.

Just like any other mod. We will work on the models, textures, and animations first. We can then test them out in CNC3 as its basiclly the same engine. Once the SDK comes out, all of our models should be done, and we can easily add them in from there. After that, we then work on bringing unique features to the engine, those of which are being kept secret for now.

Thanks, and thats what we will be doing. We can test things out in CNC3 to make sure models work, are sized correctly, etc. Though we are in need of help in all positions, like modeling, textures, and animation. Without that help we cant get much done.

We switched to RA3 because the EAW community is getting smaller and smaller. Also with the sage engine we have alot more freedom to do what we like then what we could with the EAW engine as the EAW engine had almost everything hard coded in.

Its actually for RA3, and if we get enough help it wont be too long to get the mod out once RA3 comes out. Also many of our models can be brought over to RA3 from EAW so thats cuts out alot of time.

Progress has been slow because of life outside of the mod, with things coming up, and because of some other reasons behind the scenes. I can't say too much right now, but we have a really really big announcement coming soon. So stay tuned, cause a revolution is coming. . .

Population limits are going to stay as they are hard coded into the game and they also help to keep things balanced. We can though change how much of a pop limit there is, and we will be working on seeing what a good limit is.

its not only just on how to destroy them, its how do you fit them into the mod, trying to make them their own team wouldnt work cause they only have 3 units really, ori ships, priors, and basic foot soldiers. And putting them in as pirates per say would not fit into how the ori work.

yes i have seen that, but they are still not a clear way of destorying ori ships, as that if it was one daedalus vs. 2 or more ori ships, the ori ships would win, thus making it very uneven. The new dvd ark of truth will help us decide if we definetly want the ori or not

For the supergate, no because we are not going into those seasons for this mod, we have decided that the ori are too powerful to put them in the mod at this time as their is no clear way as of right now to destroy their ships. As such, since there are no Ori, there is no need for the supergates. Maybe later on we will add them in. As for Atlantis, we are going to keep this part a secret, we don't want to give away too much.

Both will be in the mod, though right now its questionable if they will be fully working, ie allowing troops or ships to come through the stargate instead. We are working hard on a way to make them work.

This flaming war will end right now. Our mod and the SGEAW are two different mods about the same show on the same game. Your mod is a unit replacement mod, and ours is total conversion. Coming on here and saying that our models suck and such is VERY unprofessional and your whole mod team should be ashamed of doing it. We have just as much right as you do to develop a Stargate mod for EAW. How would you guys like it if we went to your site and flamed your mod? I bet you wouldn't like it and be saying the same thing I am saying. So stop this flaming war right now.

That is a good idea, have slammer missiles for space and some type of bomb for ground maps. That way both sides are balanced, bomber and fighter wise.

We are working on a shield system that will function exactly like the shields do in stargate. As for the iris, we have no idea yet. We are still in the planning/testing stages of working on the stargate system. But do stay tuned as later on we may have a teaser mod announcement.
