As a simpler version of OOTP this game does a nice job. Great way to get an introduction to OOTP. Not a 'video game', it is a simulation and you can use real or fictional players and have many season of fun. If you love the stats and details of baseball you will love iOOTP. If you like iOOTP but want more then look at OOTP14, built for total immersion.

This is the best baseball simulation available. If you like the stats of baseball and managing your own baseball organization then this game is for you. But if you are looking for an arcade type simulation look elsewhere. This is a thinking man's game. Love the depth and detail.

I play primarily in on-line fictional leagues with as many as 27 other people but you can do very in-depth seasons going back to the beginning of the game using any player that has ever played Major League baseball. Alternatively you can create a league with totally fictional players, set the rules how you wish, and play and unlimited number of seasons. You can configure almost everything and create the baseball universe that you have only fantasized about. You play the game your way!
