Quick question, is this a replacement for Kotf 2.1 onwards? or are totally different ppl working on them?

Please i'm having issues with effects like the bowcaster or bombs no fire effects in almost any place, also the thin lasers from the trap bombs are invisible aswell. there is just no explosion effects, i had vanilla JK academy with 1.01 patch and i downloaded both parts from this and install them. am i doing something wrong?
