I'm hoping the 404 error is a temporary moddb issue. If not, I'll re-upload it. I'll give it a day or two.

wow, I'm so happy you enjoyed it! Getting the combine soldiers to jump can be done 1 of two ways: a scripted sequence (they have a jump animation for 128 unit drops), or using hint nodes with the hint set to "override jump permissions". The first method looks and works the best, but only works for 128 unit high walls. The second method works for pretty much any distance, but looks like crap.
haha, awesome timing. Thanks for playing.
there's no collision there, so the headcrabs must be getting caught on the destructible boards. I'll keep an eye out for it though.
I didn't know there was a gameplay video
thanks for the heads up bud! I'll look into it.
Ahahahaha. I'm getting to it y'all!
glad to hear! I'm still working on tweaks. I'll make a news bulletin when I feel the gameplay is locked.
sorry, I meant high pass filter + FFT filter + echo + pitch down
all I did was youtube for combine voice tutorials. There's actually quite a bit! I need to look into making it better actually as it's still hard to hear what they're saying, which is an inherent design flaw in the combine. Essentially its just adding a slight echo and adding a bunch of low pass + FFT effects in Audacity
Steam will not list the mod until you install it and re-load Steam.
interesting. I didn't do anything special to hide the crosshair in the beginning of the mod other than using standard camera entities.
sorry, unfortunately the installer only supports 64-bit. If you have a 32-bit machine you can use the .zip file which I've made a separate download.
No sequel planned, sorry. My mission is to make this mod as polished as possible. The fact that I'm doing this by myself means I can only focus on this for now :)
I seriously doubt it'll work on OSX, but I'd be curious to find out for sure!
Thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts! I'm trying hard to build a nice progression of combat through the mod so I'll definitely take this into consideration. My primary concern is pacing so these are great notes.
It works fine if you just use the standard windows extraction (It was created with the windows archive functionality). I haven't been able to reproduce this error.
Thanks buddy!
How does this work with Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer? I followed the install instructions but i get the error: "could not open phoneme translation file!"
Do I need to install some kind of speech API or something?
I'm not sure how Desura is different from moddb, but if you do it the old school way through moddb.com, it works fine.
please make sure you have extracted the file "manderson.iwd" to the following directory:Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty 4\main
I've just uploaded a fix for your problem. It's as simple as changing the gameinfo.txt. The new file should be authorized very soon. Thanks for the interest!
what is the specific error you are getting?
Thanks for the comments! I was actually worried I messed up and people couldn't install it, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Unfortunately I think I'm done with COD mapping for now, and I'm gonna try modding for something else. Feel free to hit me up if you ever need another pair of eyes on your work though.
in the zip file i have two folders, 'main' and 'zone'. those folders match up with ones in your call of duty install directory. For example, in my zip there is the file 'main/manderson.iwd', which go into your directory 'call of duty 4/main/manderson.iwd'. Ensure the 'manderson.ff' is also in the correct directory 'call of duty 4/zone/english'. If that doesn't work please let me know
Holy ****, how did I never know about this tool? If this thing works I'm gonna send you an e-hug, haha
Thanks boys! I myself am a little bummed you couldn't see the building better in-game. I'll do better next time
