I have a friend who's been experiencing a similar issue. Had two missions which required killing bandits. Both of them pointed to the bandit base in dark valley, but they weren't there even though the mission pointed there and the place was disconcertingly empty.
If it helps any, he started as a merc.
Seems interesting. Been looking for something like this for 1.5. Will be sure to give a shout if a bug happens to crop up.
Ran into a similar crash with 1.5r6. Gonna test the fix myself. I have to say I love the addon so far though. It really adds some life to the zone. A nice touch for it losing connection during emissions and psy-storms.
