The Mind of Evil (SDL)

Mod review

Levels are a little labyrinthine but really well done. Really dig the opening level with the greener moss on the walls and the green floor. Definitely a cool vanilla mod that has just enough changes to be exciting and new withing mucking too much with the classic Wolf3D formula. :)

Wolfenstein 3d mod for doom 3

Mod review

As a former Wolf3d modder, I'm VERY disappointed in this. I expected a WolfenDoom-like experience as it's called "Wolfenstein 3D in Doom 3" yet there's no Wolf3d textures, no enemies from Wolf3d, no weapon remodelling, BJ Blazkowicz (the playable character from Wolf3d) isn't even on the statusbar!

From what I've played, these are the 2 secret levels from Doom II WITHOUT those Hi-Res textures made specially for the secret levels. This is very misleading and I recommend NOT PLAYING THIS.

Zillion 3D

Mod review

I've never played Zillion but this is a Wolf3D mod with a decent sci-fi theme, total anime feeling, good maps, and amazing graphics true to the anime feeling.

Well done in my opinion, especially loved the wall textures, a good mod with seemingly little changes to the engine. :)

Unsung

Mod review

Never before have I seen a WWI mod for Wolf3D, and I've been modding for 10 years now! Been playing Wolf3d since '92...

I believe Unsung's gameplay is successful with capturing the grittiness and somewhat horrific atmosphere of the war to end all wars. As with all mods and games there are a few things to nitpick on, things player will think could use improvement, but I believe this mod well deserves a 10/10 rating for it's uniqueness and enjoyable gameplay.
