For anyone who has this problem as well, restart your steam by exiting out of it and then running it again. It fixed the issue for me.

For some reason the game starts up to the "Preparing to launch Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion" screen and then crashing, only to bring it back up and crash again over and over. Anyone have a solution?
