Inside the download is a readMe for the normal people. For steam user it is more complicated. Copy the data from the .rar file into "...Steam\steamapps\common\X4 Foundations" Afterwards you need to download a tool called "XTool" (the same older X-games needed). you load all files from the mod folder into it and create a catlog with the name ext_01. There should be two new files (.cat and .dat) inside the mod folder now. It should work afterwards

thanks a lot for the great work. Also all the past problems with L and XL ships are gone for me (with addon, Win10, Steam). My only problem is that I can't buy argon ships with the split start. It might be helpful to make them accessible in different wharfs in future updates.

For me Steam/Win10 (and Win7 before) it is both XL ships and the L Nebulon-B. However under some weird circumstances I can build them but the safegame will be corrupt afterwards

When the mod 0.21 came out I tried a lot but it always crashed after building L/XL ships. Meanwhile I migrated to Win7→Win10 (still steam). I tried your workaround and deleted the files within assets/units//Size_Xl/isd01.data. I had some other mods activeted and the game crashed like usual. However, I reinstalled the mod and deactivated everything else. I started the gozanti start (added money with wemod) flew to the station, turned it behind me and I could build, dock and fly with the isd. after saving, I couldn't leave the game and needed to shut it down with task manager. The safegame is corrupt. I tried it again, it wored again with the gozanti start but not with the TIE start (the building times are also differetn, I guess in the TIE start some stuff is missing for the station to build). loading the sfegame aborts always after 83% percentage. I hope that might help to find the mistake

I was thinking about it but i read somewhere that I cannot control other ships than the starter one in original X3. Is it free of choice for the X3 mod?

I guess all steam users cannot use L/XL ships without crashing. Has anyone found a workaround? Would it be possilbe to upload this mod in the workshop to avoid crashing?

Great work so far, I love the mod although I cannot build L/XL Ships without crashing the game. I guess it is a steam problem (if any steam user could fix it, please tell me)

I would like to mention that there is a Star Wars music mod, which changes the ingame music. A perfect combination.
