i've already suggested that in the discord server but it was another mode instead, where it gets progressively difficult as you go through the random procedurally generated levels. It'd be really cool to have imo.

The gore testing level will never be added back because it was never meant to be an actual feature, it was a level for Roz/Helghast to test and made sure everything was working right.
Plus you'll have a level editor in which you can make your own levels/gore testing levels with variety and crap anyways so it's a plus plus.
Gore testing level was also one of the reasons people thought this game to be your typical edgy gore shooty shooty stuff and removing it distanced the game from being that.

The full game will come out in late 2021 or early 2022, it'll be on steam for 15$

To people who keep thinking "games got everything stripped away, is dead" you're completely wrong, the game is way larger than update 4 which is 68mb, while this update is 158mb, all the levels in u5 are atleast twice u4's all level length into one (atleast from what i experienced playing this update)
As for the removals such as grabbing, gore testing room, and the weapons.

The grabbing was impractical and was goofy for a spec ops to grab someone in a gunfight and use it as a meatshield even though it was easily penetrable so Roz removed it.

The gore testing room is never an actual feature anyway, it was made sure everything worked right and is removed to distance the game from just focusing on the gore and making it into an actual game that Roz wants it to be.

The weapons are replaced instead and they are way more realistic and satisfying to shoot.

Also if you're wondering why the gore isn't kind of that noticeable anymore, it still is, enemies are just more durable. The gore is still good and has improved optimization for the new blood system, realistic looks and realistic mechanics as well.

So hey, "this game is a total failure because it removed goofy unrealistic things!!! grr!! hate this game!! grrrrr 1/10 bad game dead game"
