Description
ArmaLite AR-7 Explorer - semiautomatic, magazine fed, smallbore, rimfire survival rifle. ArmaLite designed it to replace their previous design, bolt-action AR-5, as a US Air Force aircrew survival weapon. This never happened, but AR-7 proved to be very popular on civilian market, even after ArmaLite ceased to exist. Still produced (currently by Henry Repeating Arms), it is known as one of the few inflatable takedown rifles, thanks to it's oversized plastic stock. One was even used by Sean Connery in 007 movie From Russia With Love.
