Freelancer currently is impossible. As for party size, there are other options for that.

While the icon currently remains the same, it is exeptional that the battle was fought on land. I seem to recall somethiing like that being fixed in the 1.1 patch. Have you updated?
Is there any way to force a war with a nation? My France and UK are annoyingly congenial toward one another.
To join a faction, go to a Capital city (designated by having the name of the nation proceeding the name of the city, such as London, England and Paris, France), walk around the streets, and talk to the gentleman called the "recruiter".
That Dreadbeard character is amazing! Which reminds me, are there now or are there plans for naval uniforms?
I wish to report two minor glitches: when doing a fistfight, a ghostly, sometimes headless, doppelgänger of the player stands by the door, silently observing; the other glitch occurs in the model of town like the one used in Vienna. Walking into the corner of the building infront of the player will result in being stuck inside of it.
While slightly annoying, it is certainly highly historically accurate. In many regiments, desertion was not the exception but the norm.
Indeed. They were never used by the Austrian soldiers. Having them in a store or perhaps as an easter egg somewhere in Austria, however, would probably be fine. Of course, it ultimately comes down to Docm's decision.
I have no solution for the problem, but if you get it you needn't restart; hitting TAB should do the trick.
Is there anything that can be done with captured enemies in this game?
Hello Docm. I know you are very busy with the mod and all, and thus aren't very likely to be haphazardly browsing the comments section, but if you are, I must say you did a smashing job on this. The towns are outstanding, the uniforms accurate, and the features very appropriate. It is, of course, a bit rough (it is an alpha, after all), but overall this must be the most stunning thing I have ever seen. Surgite, good sir! Surgite!
I believe the uniforms depend on the season; coats are worn in winter, coatees in summer.
Buying commissions! Of course. Thank you sir.
Hello. Does anyone know exactly how the ranking system works? Is enlisting different than being an officer? Also, how does one rank up?
Edit: Once again, this mod is brilliant. Thank you very much, Docm
Wonderful Alpha build. I would just like to point out two things:
1) Rarely, everyone participating in a battle will glow like the sun. While the effect leaves after going somewhere else, it's sort of bothering when Napoleon looks as if he just rode from Chernobyl.
2) This may just be a personal issue, but it seems that melee is very underpowered.
Also, are there any plans for period companions?
Its almost here! Quick, refurbish my bicorne, polish my sword, cue the Egmont Overture, and brew a cup of tea. The prealpha of L'Aigle, the long-awaited MOTC (Mod of the Century) is almost here!
I can no longer contain my excitement! Huzzah!
I am very glad I found this mod! One question: will the Assyrians be in the game? True, it may be before the age of Ashurbanipal II, but they'd still be an interesting inclusion.
This may be a stupid question, but can anyone explain how to install this mod?
Great mod! I have only one complaint/question: is there any way you could set what factions are at war with each other at the start of the game? I began playing as a vassal of Great Britain; we were at war with Prussia, the Spanish Hapsburgs and the Dutch, but had "no outstanding issues" with France, Bavaria, and the Spanish Bourbons.
At any rate, this is an incredibly well-made mod and the faction issue is only mildly irritating. Thank you for all of the work you put into this.
