I have done almost everything you told me in the readme, I may have done something incorrect, but I still only have a white screen and then it closes with an error. What do I do?

Okay, I have went everywhere doing everything, and I still have a white screen for the valve start up. What is going on?? The Garry's mod version is horrible so I got this one. Nothing I did changed it, and now I cannot use this. Everything was outdated by about 6 years. I need people who actually got this working to explain to me.
