This is some general idea how I have tweaked NPC detection. NPC needs more time to detect you when you get inside iner dangerous detection zon, but at the same time when they start to detect you, NPC is less likely to get unsuspisious and get back in relaxed state.
Also I have put more NPC variation for iner dangerous zone, diferent NPC class have differetnt settings in that area. That meens that you will never be certain if you are in yellow safe for unalerted state or you are already in dangerous zone when is just metter of time when NPC will shot you.
At the same time if you are foolish enough to get to close and alert NPC, you will less likely get out from danger in totaly safe green zone where NPC will are not able to detect you.
