The Journey

Mod review

The mod is even interesting, it has a good atmosphere, very inhospitable and desolate, but that's all. Gameplay is the same as the Vanilla version only worse as you can't fix your weapons and armor or even upgrades, I understood the intention to take the mini map out, but the modder had to remember that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. it's an open world game, so wandering around empty maps full of mutants without at least one intuitive map on the PDA is frustrating, you're having to resort to the walkthrough that the modder himself included in the files, and that already shows the failure of design, speaking of empty places, the game tries to sell an aura of true survival horror, a world with few resources and many challenges to face, but exploration is not rewarded, sometimes you go to a place that looks interesting you think that there will be some interesting loot to get, and there's nothing, in the end you end up wasting ammo and items for nothing, for some reason I don't know the game doesn't run in directx9, which is already quite bizarre, because the player is conditioned to or use Dx10 or DX11 which more modest computers don't run very well, or Dx8 which is the lowest possible graphics setting, apart from that I couldn't get past the Cursed Village part because a textures error occurs (playing in Dx8) and apparently there is no solution, so I couldn't even get to the end.
A tip for those who don't want to play the mod with the horrible vanilla animations is to use the Original Guns Renewal mode for CoP, it works perfectly, and use the Military Steps mod made for Clear Sky to improve the sound effects of all the characters' steps.
