There is still a bug that causes an AI crash about once every 6 or 7 games. Sorry , I cannot track it down because it is so intermittent. I will keep working on it :-)

2. Unzip with 7 zip
3. Paste AI_test_mod.module file and AI_test_mod folder in your retribution folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war ii - retribution
4. launch with shortcut included

If you have put Retribution in a different folder or drive then correct the shortcut path first

Actually, adding squad leaders is the first thing that this mod achieved and you should see almost all leaders added. The two errors are IG guard commissar and catachan devils tier two leader, both of which i have now added. All other units reliably add squad leaders.

I have written a mod that adds some custom models but with the Elite mod out there there wasnt much point finalising it. Plus "publishing" a mod with added models is actually a lot harder than one that just adjusts default data

Actually, one thing to note is that the AI was written by Relic for the game at release. So, while I agree that the AI scripting is actually pretty good, there are some things that are "wrong" because they were outdated with the "There Is Only War" patch which dramatically changed the game. The main thing would be the scripting for teching up in tiers doesn't work very well.

To be honest I have only just figured out how to test the game rapidly so yes previous releases have been a bit broken. Link above is a well tested version.

To answer your specific question yes there is.

In default.ai about 90% of the way down find this function

Change the budget for add on. Also change the true to false as this will make it purchase quicker

This has quite a dramatic effect
