Basically if you suck at slaughter maps do not play this. Use PrBoom for best results because the monster and object count gets insane the further you go

This looks like a cool idea.

I tried the Heretic extension offered and tested out some of the Hexen classes on it. The Heretic Map extension works well, but wouldn't the clips turn into Mana for a Hexen character? The clips also has a text saying that you picked up a shotgun when you didn't.

Heretic may seem like fantasy fork of Doom, but it is so much more. Heretic invented the non-combat inventory system that all shooters use to this very day. The monsters and levels are well thought out. First FPS to have a Fly ability that works flawlessly. Its basically like playing 3D Zelda but with lots of Magic attacks. I cannot stress enough how good these maps are.

One of the Homage style TC's ever made. It oozes so much atmosphere and love of the project that it makes it an instant classic from whipping your first candle.

No doubt it is hard but so was the original Castlevania. Enjoy cussing the Medusa heads like never before, and even choose different difficulty settings. Want the ultimate challenge? The try the Blood Moon difficulty which launches completely harder and different enemies. Even the Bosses are hard and super fun.
