Aspect ratio stuff is a quirk of Modder's Edition. You can change it by downloading nGlide and configuring it through that. You'll have to delete the glide.dlls in the legacy file for it to work.

Menu music stuff is busted for the crash fix to work, sad sacrifice but its just the default carnivores ambient track right now.

Its a known issue, so you're not alone. We aren't exactly sure what's causing it though, and it might be a problem with the Modders Edition engine itself just being pushed beyond its limits. I do hope we get some kind of fix though.

I believe if you make a random .wav file and rename it to blip.wav, then put it into the SOUNDFX files, it will work. Or you can steal a blip.wav file from a newer ME mod that includes it.

For whatever reason menu music can't be more than a 12 second loop on Modders Edition or the 5 minute crash happens. Ice Age's theme is too long. That being said I haven't tried it myself, so feel free to give it a shot and see what happens.

You just have to change your audio type in options. Don't play on software mode while you're at it. Mods should probably start coming with help folders since such an old game is bound to have problems.
