Awesome mod.
All new skills, moar monsters, new monsters new bosses, good balance due to years of patching.
It encourages to try new builds, when you find new items, or to be creative and make those items work. But even if you cannot find the unique want you can still craft. This mod has the best crafting system hands down. Nothing else comes even close. Many builds for many playstiles(caster, melee, summoner, archer, ...).

I'd say start playing online as a new player is really really helpful to learn about the game. Most people will help, explain stuff, and quest with you.
