Earth Tower Defense is a simple and addicting Tower Defense game. The full version features thirty levels and over 20 types of enemies.
Because this was my first try at using Flash Actionscript, I decided to keep the game pretty simple. I'm quite proud of this game as it has pretty much the same features as Gemcraft and then some.
I programmed the game with pure AS 3.0. It was a bit of a challenge getting my head around it at first, but as I worked with it more I really got familiar with it.
What's more is that I also learned quite a lot about programming with this simple little game. For example, blitting...
I had never blitted before and it was a challenge to figure out a good system that didn't use to many resources. Well, after a bit of tinkering around, I figured it out and am addicted to the process (it's so versatile).
This is just a simple movie that shows the first level.
I know that I need to work on my movie making :)
