Later on, endgame it's fairly useless to be honest, but I agree that fireball is totally useless, the only usage for fireball is to rotate it between frozen orbs. While on vanilla fireball did like 20k dependent on gear its hard get it up to like 10k-15k on a mod that's harder.

Reducing the synergies for thunderstorm would probably make it more useless endgame. The only real usage for thunderstorm is for boss kills, if the boss is the only one alive and even then skills like nova does it better.

What client patch are you running and are you using multi res? What I've noticed is that 1.13 with multi res is much more stable than 1.12 with multi res even though the multires works better at 1.12. For example, the cube game crashing bug only occurs at 1.12 and not at 1.13.

Also the hydras are not the problem really from my experience. They're very easy to avoid and deals not that much damage if you have good gear or are prepared for them. The problem is actually that the mercs are way too weak. My hell merc with about 2-3k hp and 85 in all res, with 10% life steal and fire absorb +30% damage reduction and running with infinity can't tank them for ****. While my sorc with 75 res and no absorb with ES at 68% damage reduction barely even lose hp or mana from the third wave council at baal.

Actually the mercs are way too weak over all compared to the player and the player need to give them really GG gear for them to survive even a group of fallens. :D

Nerfing Infernal Stride wouldn't change much endgame since I rarely take damage from my actual hp, but maybe it should be nerfed a bit. What makes my hp seem really insane is maxing Infernal Stride and ES and go full vita. My sorc gets like 7k hp then, but it's not a viable build :D

When I did uber diablo I had like +10 to all skills and he wasn't really hard, it just took a long time since he got so much hp and regen. No real difficulty. Maybe boost his damage or make him spawn enemies or something like that. If that's possible. :)

The Elementals are more like meat-shields with my current gear. At lower levels they did a lot of damage, too much I would say but right now at endgame they're fine.

I was lucky today and found a lot of good gear so right now my sorcs at +19 to lightning skills.

It's hard for me to say if the sorc is too op when I've only played sorc and amazon so far. It would be easier to show you over Hamachi-lan or I could record a clip of my farming route so you can decide for yourself if she needs a nerf. What do you prefer, I could record a clip, upload it to YouTube then share it on the Facebook page?

I've tested like +20 builds and this build will definitely be the new meta it's by far the best.

I'm not home right now but I'll think about what needs nerfing or maybe buffing and get back to you.

Just checked and with my mf gear Nova is doing 3-25k (with Lightning Mastery maxed, Frost Nova maxed and some points in Thunder Storm and while being on skill-level 37) while Frost Nova is doing 3800-4500 (without Cold Mastery or any other synergies except for Nova, at skill-level 35).

I can only compare my sorc to my amazon and with equivalent gear (my sorc might have a bit better, but only a little bit) my sorc is much stronger. I mean by a huge amount. The amazon is equally tanky as the sorc cause of the max block on the amazon, while the sorc have much more hp and energy shield on that.

That combined with the sorcs teleport and Elemental Spirit makes it much easier for the merc with infinity to stay alive.

Right now with my current gear I would say that the Elementals are in a good spot in my opinion. They can one-shot things like fallens and other weak enemies but it takes them a while to kill enemies in Baals throne room or River of flame.

I can't compare them to Necro or Druid summons since I haven't tried those classes yet, but when I was leveling the Elementals seemed a bit too strong. All the way to hell I just went with Thunder Storm + synergies and Elementals maxed and just teleported around while they were pretty much killing everything.

I tried Baal at 3.6.6 with my amazon and I couldn't do it, Baal and his minion could barely kill her but he regenerated hp too fast. At current patch (3.6.7) I killed him with my sorc with no problem at all, the mana drain were a bit annoying since I rely on energy shield and Nova costs a lot of mana but no real problems. I could probably do baal at higher player level, especially if I use my none-mf gear.

The biggest problem on my sorc at the moment is that it takes 2-3 flasks to fill my mana and health and that means I have to go to town :D

Actually now when I killed uber diablo I feel a bit sad that one of the hardest parts of the game is done to be honest. I feel like uber diablo might have been too weak in comparison to normal diablo. I'm trying to farm keys for uber tristram but I haven't found a single one.

A suggestion for future patches could be to introduce some new custom ubers, that would be fun.

Also, is there anywhere I can see all of the tier 4 bases? I'm looking for a Monarchs to make 2 spirits but there might be a better base?

I'm playing sorc at the moment and got my first anni on her yesterday and sorc plays a bit weird compared to vanilla sorc. There's no point at all going pure fireball, lightning/chain lightning builds they do way too low damage and the synergies seems a bit weird too.

Instead get Elemental Spirit maxed and always one point in Infernal Stride and Frozen Armor (on all builds).

Then build your build. Fireball is worthless since it doesn't synergize with the Elemental Spirit but Lightning is pretty good if you wanna stand far away, it should synergize with the Elemental Spirits also since they seem to be using lightning instead of chain lightning. Blizzard is also pretty meh but Frozen Orb is instead very good. If your going cold, only pick cold mastery up to -150 enemy res since almost all have a max of 150 res (At least on vanilla, maybe Ascended can clarify that?).

If you're having problems with a boss and use plugy just respec charged bolt and you'll be fine.

The build I'm using at p3 right now on my sorc is a Nova/Frost Nova build and I clear things fairly fast, I have decent gear about +14-15 in all skills with about 300 mf. In this order I go for:

Warmth 1p
Infernal Stride 1p
Frozen Armor 1p
Elemental Spirit maxed
Entire lightning tree 1p
Nova maxed
Lightning Mastery maxed
Frost Nova maxed
Then I put the remaining points in Thunder Storm.

For stats I'm going no str, dex or enough for gear. Then about 60/40 for vita, energy.

If you have low in + to all skills just skip the energy points and energy shield skill. It'll just eat away your mana.

I'm doing with nova about 1-26k and it synergizes with Elemental Spirit also so they'll basically clear most things for you. Also if you don't have infinity they're pretty good at killing immunities.

With my CTA buff and energy shield I have about 5k hp and 4k mana at the moment so you'll be pretty tanky too. If you'd like you could also go for max block if you find something like a stormshield and then you'll be almost immortal.

Thanks for the tip. I actually made a amazon today and just got to nightmare. The skull on belt thing is amazing. I was able to do throne room and Baal on players 8. The only problem I had was the third wave hydras. The council hydras seem too be doing way to much damage, but it's probably supposed to be that way. :)

I'm soon at Andariel and it's a lot better now. Started using gems mostly for poison damage and then I made a steel runeword. So right now it's fairly easy and I can clear at decent speed.

I'm hyped now to continue sadly I'll have other things do and can't wait to continue. :)

Hey, just one more question. My barbarian just got to Dark Wood and level 9. The way there have been a real struggle to be honest. I'm starting to think that something is wrong.

It takes about 5 actual hits to kill a returned archer with bash and I've 84% to hit and it feels like I'm missing my hits a lot more, it takes about 10 hits to actually kill it since I'm missing a lot. It feels like I'm playing at /players 8 but I'm sure I'm running /players 1.

I'm running 1.12a with multires + plugy 10.2 through d2se. I followed the instruction except that I changed the d2se.ini to 1.12a and installed the 1.12 multires since it's more stable and less glitchy.

I'm also fairly experienced d2 player but the sheer amount of enemies and no real damage and AOE makes it real difficult. I also found a weapon at Blood Raven "Fechmars Fire, Large Axe" and dealing 84-124 with bash.

Does this seems right or did I mess something up during the installation? Is the difficulty really ramped up by a tonne? :)

Oh I see that now. I didn't realize that I had some resistance gear already. This seems like a really cool mod. Got any subreddit or forum where people can talk about the mod?

Hello everyone, I just found this mod and updated it to the latest version. I've found something that might be a bug, I've looked through the pdf and I couldn't find anything relevant but I might have missed something. I just took a quick look. On my barb I've equipped a pair of boots that gives me 5% fire resistance. The strange thing is, when I look at the resistances it says "0" and when I remove the boots it says -5 on fire resistance. Something I've missed or is this a bug of sorts?
