I dont know if anyone noticed but EA is king in terms of buying rights to complex RPG games and turning them to crap for kids...

But most tragic story is with Bioware and Pandemic... I miss games from them.

It was similar story as Interplay and Bethesda, that literally raped them in the court taking everything related to Fallout and throw it away. And its not only about game, Interplay had MASSIVE amount of concepts, stories, models, graphics, sounds and music ready to use and they just throw it away.
We can like some aspects of current Fallout series(3&4) especially its "moddability" but even with that and pretty good visual atmosphere in them, dont change, that its just oblivion with guns...
With all that assets from Interplay they actually could create proper and amazing Fallout game that would mix old and new but they where to lazy to create or buy new engine for it and actually work on game...

The all mighty dollar...

I'm saltiest over Westwood or Maxis. Lucas arts had some great games too, I'm a big fan of their Rogue Squadron games on the 64 and Gamecube. C&C and Sims series were both massive achievements in gaming, look at the sorry excuses EA is putting out to appeal to these fan bases... C&C Mobile? I hope whoever came up with that gets hit by a truck. Interplay is another great developer that got the short end of the stick, although its not Fallout its good they're back on their feet and developing new games, Descent! All the Descent games were maaterpieces.

It's moddability that will be their downfall. I forsee modding becoming more accessible to the average Joe in the future. Why would someone wanna pay money for literal trash when even now modders such as yourself are putting big companies to shame... Just look at CoC

Jedi Academy was mostly Raven Software, but goddamn that game was so well designed.
