Report RSS Mapping terrain

Tried two terrain generators so far:

TerrainGen
Entar.quakedev.com
Capable of random generation or from pcm images. Since I have a specific need, the random option is not useful - but it looks great for a random spatter of terrain.
The pcm method looks pretty good, after I get the pcm made.

Open GL Terrain Generator
Lighthouse3d.com
Looks cool. couldn't get it to compile under linux because of some issue with the installed glui libs.

Landformer Pro
Softpedia.com
This looks like a good pgm maker. Tried the freeware version. It seems to have some issues with saves. I then checked back and noticed this at the bottom of the entry: "Changed unregistered restriction so that only a square 1/10 x 1/10 in the center of the map is flattened"
Hrm? Someone is stupid: " License / Price: Freeware / FREE"
Freeware is a link: Softpedia.com - unrestricted software with free unlimited use!
Needless to say I think the idiot that put restrictions on a freeware product needs at the least to have the product removed due to fraudulent licensing. prob. should be bitch slapped as well. Could not find a way to unlock it either - after all its "freeware"...

Things do not bode well for terrain mapping.
On a plus note I have finished some of the Painkeep 1.2 to dos:
DONE: custom hub maps via .ent file or quark edit of bsp
DONE: dynamic pkitems when in PK & no pk items
This just leaves visible weapons. It wont be that hard.
