So pleased this is getting a PC release!
Just read the RPS take on the demo, it's pretty damning.
Is this indicative of the full game? I find that arbitrariness kinda off-putting...
This looks pretty tempting, but I can't find the minimum specs anywhere, and I'm not sure my computer'll be up to it. I can't really run Minecraft at a playable framerate, but I'm hoping as this isn't Java, maybe it's a bit less demanding?
If you're not sure of the exact requirements, is there a demo I could try?
I disagree with "As should everyone else", and calling out things made in Game Maker as inherently of less worth. My feelings are that a game's value doesn't necessarily equate to it's length, or the engine underpining it.
Wow, thanks for the review of the game you haven't played.
At this price point, with that amount of content, I feel you really need to get a demo out. I'm not saying your game isn't worth six quid (I haven't played it, it might be the best thing ever*), but look at the competion. There's currently 328 games on Steam available for under four pounds, 904 for under seven. Game pricing shouldn't be a race to bottom, but you've got to be aware of what you're competing against. The simplest way to get people playing your game without just trying to undercut everybody else is to facilitate word of mouth by letting people link their friends to a trial version.
*Do bear in mind though, that your current pricing is a bit like saying your game is worth as much as Psychonauts.
No, you have the *option* of paying for this.
Can't believe I didn't think to try that. Anyhow, it's working now; cheers!
I'm having no joy registering those .ocx and .dll files, either through the Register Files thing or manually through regsvr32. I'm running a 64bit version of Windows 7, could this be the problem?
Yeah, I'm getting the same problem. No idea why.
