ModCenter is closing our site and I'm glad they are in the good hands of ModDB.

Again, thanks for the feedback. I do understand some of the gripes people have about FilePlanet.

Does FilePlanet benefit from it being exclusive on our site even for a day or two? If I make it non-exclusive it might be up for one afternoon and might not gain the steam it needs with a beta event or big demo. FilePlanet is stuffed with beta events the next couple of weeks.

I am leaning to make it non exclusive this time.

In the past the term FilePlanet used was exclusive. I will not enforce or use that term. I won't spend time sending emails enforcing it either. FilePlanet is just an option and I do want people to come by.

This wasn't intended it to be an "exclusive". Just a launching premiere on FilePlanet to maximize publicity for the mod and have it on FilePlanet. I do want it to launch on FilePlanet and set time aside for that. Do you think FileFront or FileShack sets time aside to do that? They are busy posting other stuff. If it isn't posted on FilePlanet most of the other sites won't even notice this mod is released till a week or two later. If it's front center on FilePlanet they take notice. Cats out of the bag.

FilePlanet is opening to hear what you guys have to say. But I must say I'm bruised up from reading all the hate, lots of stones thrown.

Don't hate on the Curse moddev team. I approached them with this offer and they are looking out for their best interest and so is FilePlanet. I understand it is a mod and should be available to all gamers. I want to promote it across FilePlanet, to a wider audience on our network, and help some mod developers. The only way to justify it is a pre-premiere.

With that said, FilePlanet will talk to the Curse mod dev team to make some arrangements that benefits the Curse Dev, FilePlanet, and of the fans here on ModDB.

The parent company, Ziff Davis, sold nearly every other property except for FileFront.com a year ago and industry has taken a turn for the worse.

FileFront was the king of the no login/registration file downloading area, it doesn't make sense for FilePlanet to monopolize everything does it? Now that FileFront is down, FilePlanet is re-evaluating the market and we want to support the gamers, modders, and uploaders. Our upload system will get an update to accomodate a large hole left by FileFront. We will focus on a short term and long term solution that gamers and modders been asking for.

All user upload files on FilePlanet can be downloaded with no reg or waiting. Big misconception all files on FilePlanet require registration account to download. Look at Planet Elderscroll, it uses our download system.

The uploader does need login to upload files though. As long the file don't get approved unto the FilePlanet site structure you guys get a free lunch. One problem we are looking at is giving users access to change and modify their file uploads and file info pages.

High Expectations with this mod.

Lighting looks superb and reminds me of Osaka. The attention to the little details is exceptional. The wall was a nice Japanese style drawings with cement blocks. The yellow painting on the asphalt is a different texture.

Man this mod looks SWEEET! I'm glad Studio Radi-8 NeoTokyo team was focused on delivering a top quality mod and tight lipped about it till the end. End of the day I rather be playing a mod then looking at skins, models, and trailers.
