I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and is able to run GTA SA. After installing the Viper 2.0 mod, I started GTA SA and the game freezes at the point where the intro video about to start.

It used to work fine in Windows 7.

Not too sure if you will be looking into this issue else it would be a shame. Viper 2.0 mod is A+++++. Thanks.

KnightBob, just a casual question while I noticed that the vipermoddingteam.com is already offline. Will there still be a new release of viper - the metro city chronicles?

After spending quite a bit of time with this mod, no doubt has been real fun, with some issues:

1. I can't disable vigilante mode by pressing the #5 on the numpad.

2. After reloading the save game. I will always need to go all the way back to Ocean Docks to get one. It may feel a bit frustrating if I am on the far side of another city. :(

3. No chance to get the "hero" viper except to start a new game. I just wish to be able to respawn this viper from the menu like in the first release.

About the GTS defender crash issue when morph. I found a solution which worked about 90% of the time. I will have to drive the GTS all the way into viper hq and continue to the back into the sea. Only then the GTS will morph without crashing the game.

About the hero rt/10 viper, can you provide an option to get it back? After saving and reloading the game, the car is gone as mentioned earlier. Thanks.

Yes, I removed the gta_sa.set before replying to your post earlier. The game still crashes when I morph the ocean dock GTS to defender. Other then that, the mod is good with the "hero" viper.

Having said, I even uninstall GTA, deleted the whole folder and re-installed GTA with the viper mod. The game still crashes due to ocean docks GTS. Sigh......

I encountered some issues posting into the bug tracker (error page not found) before posting it here.

1. For the "hero" viper and other defender GTS vipers, after saving the game, quit and restart GTA and reloading the save game, those vipers are gone. I can only and have to get the GTS at ocean docks. It would be great to have a way to get back the "hero" viper as well. :(

2. Yes, the defender GTS from the ocean docks trailer crashes even outside of the warehouse when I attempt to morph by pressing "-". I have tested by starting a new game over and over again. Same result - crash when tried to morph.

I started playing this great viper mod. I just wanted to check if these are known issues:

1. How to spawn a "defender" viper RT/10? All I get are just regular RT/10s from the spawn menu.

2. If I enter a parked viper GTS at the warehouse side, the game crashes when I press "-" to morph.

3. To lock the doors, I have to press 3 to 4 times. The first few times will cause the doors to re-opened.

4. The weapon pods run out of missiles or ammo after firing 3 times. Have to drive the defender a couple of clicks and it fires again.

Anyway, this mod is truly fun.

5dmc1, any chances of making this Green Hornet mod coexist with the current superb viper mod? If it's not the entire mod but perhaps just the vehicles and characters. It would certainly rocks switching players/vehicles while busting crimes. Just a thought :)

P/S: What happened to the vipermoddingteam.com website, looks like it's no longer functioning, i.e. accepting forum members?

Hi 5dmc1, I've got your viper mod 0.1b running on Windows 7 and so far so good, no crashes. This is only the first time I'm playing GTA and it's also because of your wonderful mod. Since I'm new, I don't know what I'm supposed to do when I'm in the new game, i.e. I saw two cars parked, got into the one of it which is the viper and drove around the city..... and lost.... Do you've any mission guide or game briefing? May I also ask what is this "press #2 to go into vigilante mission"??? Btw, I'm using a laptop for GTA and when I press #2 nothing seems to happen while inside the viper :( Anyway, thanks for this wonderful mod.
