Im sorry, apocaplypse 772, but the USA never wanted to help the soviet union. In the end they were forced to by the british and russians. You see the americans at the time (probably even now) hated the communists more than they hated the nazis; the US government was quite prepared to let the Germans and Soviets kill each other.
