Finished most of the Monastery and 95% of the Orchard of Lamentations. Added an "FPS test" to my design workflow. Was in the middle of that, but had to stop in favor of weapons. Can't fully commit to an FPS test without a full battle design, and i can't do battle design without having finalized weapons. So, into the Photoshop we go. That's where i am now. Knee-deep (nah, Doom terms ain't good enough here, lol) in the frame-by-frame animation. That's gonna take some time, cause this one is extensive (extensive as in 5 concurrent animations for the weapon's standstill).

Which brings us to the weapons. I have almost settled on the final roster. Corvus' Elvenwand gets some visual +audio upgrades and a change in its action. Warrior class 2nd weapon is going to be the Axe, just like the vanilla. However, Legend-9 Axe is on fire and is both ranged and melee. (i am currently working on the fire FX animation) Way more fun to use than the vanilla.

The Shock Lance went full circle. After deciding to have two burning weapons, the Fire Sword upgrade as the 4th weapon had to go. So i am bringing back the Shock Lance as the 4th weapon. All i need to do is to match the projectile graphics for it. Action-wise it will be exactly the same. Only looks change.

The ultimate weapon for Elf class is likely to end up as the Phoenix Staff, with some visual modifications. The problem i have there is that i have maxed out Doomsday weapon modding possibilities, and i am kind of locked out of any further options. So it looks like i'm gonna have to take a shortcut on this one. I'll be experimenting with that after i'm done with the Axe modifications. Thus, for the Hub 3, we'll definitely have the whole arsenal, some of which has gone full circle.

Must say, this is really pathetic to watch as i test-drive the weapons/graphics with the early Legend-9 demo (i do it simply for the sake of speed): that version of the demo still runs on Doomsday 1.86 - which fucking jets like an F-18 even on a 2-decade old computer(!), compared to the "modern" Doomsday 2.3.1 (which is a requirement for Legend-9, sadly) that barely makes it on a machine that can run Doom Eternal. I wonder why is that?! What DA Fuck?! What kind of exercise in programming ineptitude Doomsday engine has really become...?!
