You can set the altfire keybind to multiple keys. Such as Mouse2 and R Key at same time.

I can't find the bug. Are you sure It's not the reload mechanic? Some weapons auto reload when empty. It might seem unusual to new players. The reload key is usually the weapon alt-fire key.
