Very interesting. I have never played this game (or even know that it exist) but where do you get a Dx11 mod for this game? Also, do you make it or you port it from the Gothic DirectX 11 mod?

No, it's an external wrapper that help old games to run in 32 bit depth and with other features.

Dege.freeweb.hu

This game was in 16 bit. If you like Doom and Serious Sam this is the game you looking for.. Very fast and violent gameplay! It's a Lithtech game, same engine of NOLF and AvP2.

I see, but from that what I read it looks like this is using dx11 which is very interesting. However, since it isn't 3D like Gothic it isn't so great like that. Still, it's very interesting.

Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of this genre, but when I played painkiller loved it. The reason why I don't played most of the old school fps (only fps from the 90s, which I played is Half-Life 1) is that I started playing games much later than most of the people who I know. Still, those games are great and it's always nice to see things like this for such an old game.

Well games from 1997 to 2004 still modern except graphic, after that it's change only couple things: rise of HD graphic and realistic physic. I love old games like Half Life, Unreal, Age of Empires, Quake series, Morrowind, etc. Those games are really better than new heavy and short games.

That's true. My favorite games are from 2000 to 2008 also, there were some interesting titles in 2009 to 2012 but I don't know much about the newer ones. Metro series is great, but the new Hitman (actually the older one Absolion) wasn't so good as I hoped. It was Medicare and the new one doesn't look different from it which is a pity.

Me too have played ABSOLUTION, prevedible and bad story, too much tutorials, (like the 80% of new games..) so I played it in max difficulty, but the old Hitman games are much better, the new looks promising, thank's to return of Io interactive developers!

I agree with you with almost everything except the thing with the new one. I don't believe that Hitman 6 (Enter a World of Assassination) is a game which I was waiting after I completed Blood Money 10 years ago. I want to see what will happen after the end of the four games and instead of that we get the prologue to the whole series? I don't remember a game which has so different game sequels like the Hitman series. The story starts in the first game, then it's the first mission in the third game. After that its second game, and then it once again third game, but only in the cutscenes in which Hitman remembers some things from previous games. And after that it just third mission in Blood Money. I just don't understand why they have to do it like this. Only reason which I can think it's that they don't have enough time to make Contrast and they want quickly release some Hitman because of competition. However, if they would release a mod tools they wouldn't need to worry about that. Back in 2005 mods were for most of the games and if they would release the mod tools it would be amazing.

Yes, I totally agree with you, indeed my favorite Hitman are the first 2 games.. the latest just follows the trend of the new games, it's all vault of the consoles.

I would say that I see it like this: The first game has the best humor, the second has the best music, third has the best atmosphere and the four one has the best gameplay. If there would be a game which would have this it would be a perfect Hitman game. Also, I admit that I read a comment which says almost this same thing (but it was some years ago, so unfortunately I have no idea where I found it) and I have to totally agree to that.

The first game has the best (and probably the only) humor in the whole series. All Hitman games have great music, but the second one which has a real live orchestra its definitely perfect. Atmosphere in Contracts is unbeatable and it fits the game very well. Lastly the gameplay has always some downsides in all hitman games until Blood Money came out. It's perfect and I don't have a single problem with that. Maybe it could be there a sprint and it would be good if I can run without holding the shift button, but this is not an FPS or RPG game so I don't care about that thing at all.
