I'm a fellow who loves FPS's. Since "Doom" and "Quake" I've enjoyed the FPS experience, and when I learned how to put a map into "Doom" it was over! I could extend my game and it was free! Thanks again to those at Desura. glenn5willie

"7Bullets" by Red Nemesis is the UT mod I'm playing now--just getting into it and the scary sounds, deserted atmosphere and cool story have my attention. The team has created a true masterpiece so far. More soon!!

Finally finished "Project Xenome" by jazzyb. A great homage to halflife and some Startrek visuals thrown in as well. The music was stellar and I loved the story-line. Hats off to jazzyb---10 out of 10!!!

Found "7Bullets" for UT so I'm happy---also I installed "Out Of Hell" for UT2004 on my girlfriend's PC and I've got it up and running so I will have a lot to talk about soon.

I was hoping someone might have the Unreal Tournament mod "Seven Bullets" . The site that offered it,"www.rednemesis.beyondunreal.com" no longer works. Any help would be appreciated as the mod fleshes out the "Xidia Gold", "Lecacy" and "Project Xenome" mods for UT that I've already played or am currently playing. Thanks.

While playing "Project Xenome" I took a break and attempted to once again install " Out of Hell' for UT 2004--after a complete reinstall of the mod, the patches, etc., no luck. Guess I'm not supposed to play this mod--my last recourse is to try to install "O.O.H." on my girlfriend's pc. I'll work on that later, meanwhile I'm really enjoying "Project Xenome" and it's fun to compare this mod to "Half-Life", just as the developer "JazzyB" intended. He's done a great job of capturing a good story line and the look of the mod supports the atmosphere of the story. More later.

Started UT Mod "Project Xenome" by Jarrod Burgess--Jarrod told a little of this mod's development--how he was influenced by "Half-Life"--and he captures the feeling very nicely. Love the "Lambda" textures, and getting help from Mr. Barnes [Barney ?] is a nice touch. Just met up with a pal"Jenkins" and I'll use him as best I can. more later.

Congrats to Will Drecker,"Hourences" and the whole PHALANX crew for an excellent mod---loved the story and the execution of suspense, always something around the next corner. 10 out of 10. Starting another UT mod shortly.

playing "Xidia Gold" for UT. Another superb long mod for UT. I finished the first part "The Incident" and loved it, and I'm deep into "The Escape'", part 2.Great story and cool situations. More later.

Had to run AMP'D again to get all Oldskool mods to show up in Oldskool's menu --but that did the trick."Legacy" ended very nicely and the S3TC textures made the mod look great !! 9 out of 10. Now I'm starting "Xidia" which is starting out very cool, but I can't access my flares and spotlight--hopefully I'll figure out the problem or maybe I won't need them. More later !!

Back--finished "Operation Na Pali' and as I said, it was a blast. To play ONP I had to use Oldskool AMP'D, a great mod/mutator. I'm now playing "Legacy" for UT and it needs AMP'D also. While learning more about using AMP'D, I discovered S3TC textures which enrich UT and Unreal and was able to properly use them. Yeah !! I also tried installing another mod, "UsearchP", but messed up and lost text in my Oldskool menu {AMP'D ] so I had to use my backup UT folder to install and play "Legacy"--therefore I remind you, keep back-ups of your game when experimenting with mods. " A good backup prevents computer murder !!!".
About "Legacy"--another great mod. I like the new weapons and really like the story, but I'm getting lost in the later levels. This is O.K. 'cause I'm not the sharpest knife, but so far I've managed to eventually move forward. Wanting to see what's next says alot about a mod, don't you think ? More later.

Finished "ONP". Absolutely great!! Even the credits have to be played twice to see both endings. I will play this again to unlock all the secrets. 10 out of 10--and then some.!!

Wow! Epic length for "Operation Na Pali " for Unreal Tournament. I'm near the end and I have been having a ball!! There is humor [ I don't mind it"s simplicity, it"s funny!] and a pretty good story. There are a few episodes when flying an aircraft that are a blast. More soon!!

I'm going retro!! Started "Operation Na Pali" for Unreal Tournament", the first UT. I know, I know--the game is 10 years old, but a good game and a good mod defy age. At least that is my belief. Anyway, so far I'm really enjoying this UT makeover. The story is cool and I like the wise-cracking hero. More later.

Finished "Slums 2" by "Dictator" for HL2. Terrific---not a lot of back story, mostly shooting and getting surprised around each corner. I enjoyed the mod a
a lot. Execution of music is good also. 9.5 out of 10.

Finished "Unexpected conclusion". Good use of vehicle, great music and lots of creativity.I probably should have played on hard instead of medium --too easy--but that's my fault. The end was unexpected as promised, but ultimately I was disappointed--definitely worth playing, however. 8.5 out of 10. good job, Ismet from Turkey!!

Now enjoying "Unexpected Conclusions" for HL2. Been playing for about two hours--lots of fun. The maker, Ismet Babili, has done a fine job with good pacing and the occasional surprise enemy. The premise of being an avenging brother is cool. I like the fact that he includes plenty of ammo and health to let the player regroup after battle. More after I reach the "unexpected conclusion".

Finished "Korsakovia". I am drained. The mod is a trip into madness. I enjoyed it, but eventually I noclipped my way nearly to the end as it is easy to get very confused. "Korsakovia" became a frustrating trip through the same obstacles more than once, granted they were slightly changed during each encounter. The confusion is intended--but I got lost too often ,more than necessary to get the"I'M Crazy" feeling across. The last few levels were very original and I enjoyed their challenge, although to me the end was a disappointment. This mod is best played in the dark, as there are some "got ya". moments that make one jump. Overall,7.5 out of 10.

Currently playing "Korsakovia" for HL2 by "thechineseroom",a.k.a. Dan Pinchneck. Like"Dear Ester","Korsakovia" is scary for sure--but I appreciate the use of a few small locations to create lots of fun game play, and the puzzle-solving is stimulating and thought provoking for sure. I especially like the "smoke enemies",and there is one level where one must climb a mass of swirling debris!! Very cool!! More when I finish the mod.

Just finished "the Great Forever Tomorrow" for HL2. A great mixture of puzzle solving and "acid-trip' graphics--not for the faint of heart!! a good example of "let the player adjust to the increasingly difficult game play"--plenty of ammo when you need it, and a way to win the level after a few deaths, of course. 8.5 out of 10!!

Well, I've spent the last few days helping my cat "Painter" recover from an operation--he's well and I'm happy. I was able to play the few "Prey" mods I could find---"Altered Reality" and "Surprising Focused". They were both fun , but "Surprisingly Focused" was the favorite. This game-"Prey"- was off my radar but a sale at Walmart for the limited edition box cued my interest and I'm glad I bought it. The game is enjoyed best for it's story, with the innovation of crazy gravity situations raising the "fun" bar. And ,of course, the graphics are surperb. I give "Prey" a 9.5 out of 10!! If anyone can suggest other mods, please let me know.
Later!!

If anyone has been following my "Out Of Hell" UT2004 mod battle-- here's my latest thought. I've noticed that upon re-installing a mod, the graphics settings [ resolution ] seems to be remembered from the previous install. Why does that happen? And how can I fix that so I can do an absolutely clean install of said mod?
Thanks

Still into "Prey". Man, this game rocks!! The story is predictable but well done and the graphics are terrific!! Scenes where one is piloting a flying craft add to the largeness of the "world". I'm not done yet, so more later!!

Well 3D Realms and 2K Games have done a great job with the Doom 3 engine if you ask me. I'm into "Prey" and the graphics are wonderful, even with the dated age of the game.
Although the game is quite linear, the story is gripping. I would recommend "Prey" to anyone who enjoys the story as much as the gun play--more when i complete the game. On a different note, once again if anyone is playing the O.O.H. mod for UT2004 I could use help getting it to run on my system. After following all the hints from "out Of Hell" community website I'm still having no luck. Been working on this one for 2 weeks now and I still cannot get past the loading screen. Thanks in advance, Glenn

Just uploaded a little of my art--also, just purchased a limited edition of "Prey" for pc . I've always appreciated John Carmack"s genius and "Prey" revolves around his terrific "Doom3" engine and an interesting story line. More later.
