To install a Mod for Red Alert 3, place its folder into the following directory:

If the “Mods” subfolder does not exist, create it manually.

  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[USER NAME]\My Documents\Red Alert 3\Mods
  • Windows Vista and newer: C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\Red Alert 3\Mods

1.) Revora launcher (You need to create an account at CnCOnline Cnc-online.net/register/ and install the Revora launcher- more details there)

To access your Mod of choice (i.e., Red Alert 3-Mod Insurrection), create a shortcut to C&C3; on your desktop and add the following line to the target path:-modconfig "C:\Users\User\Documents\Red Alert 3\Mods\Insurrection\Insurrection_1.02.skudef"

The bold text should be changed to your username, the name of the Mod folder, and the name of the Mod's .skudef file itself.

You will then need to "hook" C&C3 to the Revora launcher using the launcher's "hooking" feature.

Double-click the Mod shortcut, then click "C&C3" in Revora launcher to launch your Mod of choice. If you were able to log in to C&C3 prior to hooking the Mod, you should be able to log in during this attempt.

Note: You may have to recreate the shortcut every time C&C Online updates its launcher.

That's it!

2. Gameranger (You need to create an account at Gameranger Gameranger.com and install it)

Make a backup of RA3_[language]_1.12.skudef from your Red Alert 3 directory. Edit the file in Notepad and to the top of the file, add the following (i.e., Red Alert 3-Mod Insurrection):add-config C:\Users\User\Documents\Red Alert 3\Mods\Insurrection\Insurrection_1.02.skudef

The bold text should be changed to your username, the name of the Mod folder, and the name of the Mod's .skudef file itself.

Save the file, close it, and start the game in Gameranger.

Enjoy!
