Once you install either The Keep on the Borderlands mod or The Circle of Eight Modpack, this will convert The Temple of Elemental Evil computer game to a module. You then run TFE-X (The Front End-X), and now you have the option to activate either The Keep on the Borderlands mod, The Circle of Eight Modpack, or the original The Temple of Elemental Evil module at any time in the future. Only one of those 3 modules can be active at any time (and is the only module that you can play while it remains the active module), but you may activate any of those 3 modules as often as you like.

Simply extract the attached archive to your ToEE root directory and overwrite. Will work with old saves no problem, just be sure to load from a save before Wakefield should appear.

Anybody currently playing 7.4 should install this patch to prevent Wakefield being a no-show during War of the Golden Skull.

The standard version of The Circle of Eight Modpack tries to remain faithful to the original computer game The Temple of Elemental Evil (made by Troika). The NC (which is an acronym for "New Content") version of The Circle of Eight Modpack includes a lot of new maps to explore (including Welkwood Bog, Hickory Branch, and Verbobonc) and a lot of new quests to go on, new NPCs to meet, and new monsters to vanquish. I highly recommend the NC version of The Circle of Eight Modpack! To access the new content in the game, all you have to do is talk to Brother Smyth (the blacksmith in Hommlet) and tell him that you are looking for something different (you keep doing this for each new map or the next stage of the new content in the game).
