I waited a long time for this mod to be released and when it finally did i thought it was awesome. But it was packed with bugs and glitches which made they experience only half as fun. I hoped to see most of it fixed in the Developers Cut but what came with that just made me sad and not really caring about it anymore.

The goal of this game was to bring the old stalker feeling of SoC and pre-SoC days and it did quite well, until the DC version now.

Improved animations, basically weapon animations from CS/CoP which just completely take away that oldschool feeling cause it just makes it feel like another CoP mod, which this shouldnt feel like. Add the changing uniform arms from CoP that and the (in this case) very negative portrayal is rounded up perfect.

Instead of just fixing the bugs and flesh out the flaws they also completely killed that old feeling they once aimed for, making it just another mod experience and not the pre-SoC masterpiece it was meant to be and what we all hoped for.

So for anyone interested in this mod i would highly recommend downloading the older version, not the DC one, you have to deal with bugs sadly but at least you have the oldschool feeling you would expect from the mod and not something modern, more CoP like, that misses the point.

Update: I tried the Dev Cut again to see if I´m ranting at it for no reason or if i still got the same feeling as i remembered. The first thing to notice is indeed that the old feeling has completely vanished, this isnt the pre-SoC feeling anymore, it isnt lost alpha anymore.

The second thing is even worse: I maxed out the setting to begin with and when in Sid´s bunker everything was alright (apart from the missing feeling) but once i went upstairs my frames dropped to 10-20, looking up in the sky anything from 240 to 900 frames was displayed but actually looking on normal eye level killed it. And just for you guys to understand why this is upsetting me or rather really ******* me off i will put the important hardware parts that matter in this case below.

I can play stuff like Ghost Recon Wildlands on 80-100 frames and LA is giving me freaking 10-20? This is just a joke and will lower this review score even more.
