Release of our game

Every year, all of the smallest forest dwellers gather around for the most epic competition you’ll ever be able to see through a magnifying glass - The Grand Forest Cup. For centuries, men of the Flowerman family have held the title of Supreme Forest Champion, but this year the villainous Beeman hatched a plan to put a stop to this glorious win streak. Only YOU can help young Flowerman outrun everyone in the forest and make old Flowerdad proud. But be careful - Beeman will try to stop you at every turn!- Run, jump and kick your way through many exciting stages using a whole bunch of cool abilities- Collect coins and use them to obtain new running shoes that unlock new ways to win the race- Face the toughest competition in the forest - rocket snails, mosquito paparazzis, gentlemen grasshoppers and of course your biggest rival - Beeman.

We have fixed all critical bugs and finished with gameplay cosmetics. Also was realy useful decision to upgrade a Unity editor to last version. This helps to resolve some bugs. I have finished to compose a intro movie with sound.

This week was really important for us. We have already showed our game to the audience. Overall was good reaction from the gamers, especially from girls. Also we have know now our faults. Important task before release for us is to balance the speed.

We have printed some stickers for those guys who played our game.

also most of the FX’s was implemented by Mihhail Nikiforov. And now our game need to be fixed and balanced a much more for best playng experience.

New week

This week was much more productive than earlier. Main feature that we achived is the game finish. What means that we can finish our gameplay from start to finish. And now we testing our gameplay balance. Another cool feature that we have now is the 2nd level background. Where we can find our second boss. He is already done and implemented in the game engne. After some gametests we have decide to create an enemy which would be much longer. I have made a new character Cockroach

I have finaly imagine how yo reuse our score section in final screen

And for the last running scene where our hero already kill that bee boss. He where used a super final boots

This week was not super productive for me. But we have finished some important points. At last we have found a domain name: runflowerrun.com Also I have finished our webpage design and already have in separate files all of the layers.

Funny for me was a creation of the final battle. Our decision was to create a fast mini game where you can win or lose, and if you loose you need to run for that Beeman again.
I have made it two times before it was approved.

Now we so close to prerelease version wich we will represent on the indie game festival in St. Peterspurg in 1-2 November.

At last I start to see the finish line on the horizon.and this field of view have motivate me to start developing new flower run webpage

Now we decided to make a tutorial more readeble. Now i working on developing of new character- flowerman's father.He will out from the left corner of the screen and will tell some hints to you.We decided to make 3 bosses inside our game. And I have developed another one - Mosquito. He would drop out another mosquitos to flowerman.

Totally reworked start minigame. Now boots are pumping and boost is strong enough to feel the real speeds
Minigame timer was also added to notify player that time is ticking away So do your best to pump your boots
Added paparazzi bug and alone ant into the game, as a monsters, so now you may meet them somewhere in forest
Ground was updated with last missing part, and now it should look more natural
And of course some bugs were fixed, most biggest ones are:
Spawn now starts only after minigame is passed, so no more piles of prespawned monsters
And all spawns are stoping when player dies.
Some minor things were adjusted to improve gameplay mechanics

Autumn is coming and cold have covered aour city. This is good for relations with work:) I have drawed an art for our facebook page about trying to find some writer who interested in creation of our flowerman world in letters and also help us to prepare our texts for publishing.After last testing we decided to recreate a mechanics of our minigame at start of the game. And I have drawed 10 more frames for our boot blowing animation


Now I working on final scene, where flowerman will catch the bee. We decided to change full scene a litle bit

Today is the birthday of Kutuzov, and we are especially tuned to win . The week started off productively. Was conceived and painted a new location for the game, in the spirit of pirate adventure. With references to the old illustrations and legends. Just think of the next few locations. Made a new character animation, beetle paparazzi, who will dazzle flash. We continue to promote our pages on social networks dedicated to our game. so do not forget to subscribe and receive the latest news about the game

This week some thing were done by me ;Both Bosses were implemented into the game, so now you may meet them somewhere on the level :smile:Memory leaks, which were caused by inappropriate coding in spawn system, were fixed It should increase performance now. Repeating ground system was reinvented, so now FPS should significantly increase, and we should be able to use different ground styles Yay! My GUI was developed and then implemented into Dead score count, so now we're able to see scores and coins in sprite font after character dies. Deadscreen now has both links (Shop and Retry). Previously used GUI was removed.Tutorial and first start prefabs were added to game, so now future users won't be surprised with controls
