Report RSS Releasing an early access game on Steam

I should really post here more often, kind of forgot about IndieDB for a while, sorry about that :)

I've been working every now and then on Steam Factory but my primary focus has been another game which I was very eager to make. Little over 6 months ago I finally had a concept for that game that I was happy with so I've been working very hard on the sci-fi space horror game 'Disinfection' since.

It's now on the Steam store: Store.steampowered.com

Wishlist that puppy :)
Working on an IndieDB page for Disinfection too, so that'll come online one of these days.

Steam Factory will be finished too, but I've been using GameMaker Studio 1 for that one and honestly it's been a pain in my behind. I did switch to GMS 2, but I'm still fighting the engine and due to that there's too much code debt in Steam Factory right now. Godot has had my interest for a long time now, but it never had a good C++ implementation, which would force me to use C# (blegh!) or the rather slow GDScript.
However Godot 4 has reworked everything and it all looks much more useable (C++ yay!) and I think porting Steam Factory to Godot 4 will allow me to make it a better game than on GMS 2, simply because it has way better support for the features I need.
A though decision but a good one to make, I think.
