I'll just leave this here because I saw a couple people wanting to joining a server to get help evolving their nidoran. However as of now, Xatoku said in the patch notes that evolving does not work in multiplayer, so just a heads up.

Port forwarding my friends. You don't necessarily need Hamachi or other lan clients. However I do agree with Team Rocket on the fact that Hamachi is the easiest way to play PokeGen online, and there is no real reason not to use it.

Pretty much right under the pokegen logo at the top of the page there is a download tab. That should be a good starting point b~.^

This happens to my friend whenever he tries to play. Re-installing didn't work. Even tried rebinding the move keys but it still didn't work.

You mean you open up the launcher? Pretty much after you open the launcher it should say something like update or play at the bottom right. Just click on that and you should be good to go

Leveling and evolution will most likely be introduced in the next update. They will be evolving Nidoran to Nidorino. Also they will most likely lower the evolve level from 15, 16, or whatever it is to 2, or 3 for testing purposes

Edit: I'm slow

Besides moving around like you said, all that's left is to capture and battle Pokemon. So just out of curiosity what buttons were you using to try and capture them?

1. Get Hamachi
2. Open Hamachi. Click tab called "Network" then click join an existing network/ or create if you want your own
3. A window will open asking for an ID and a password. Enter them (the person who's Hamachi server you are trying to join should provide these to you)
4. The host will give you their Hamachi IP. Which you will then enter into Pokémon Generations game.
5. The port should stay 25565 (unless otherwise noted by host)
6. Don't forget to change your name from pancakes to something more suiting to yourself (like kamgasiewe for example)
7. Click join server ( note that this may take a while so be patient)
8. If this does not work try allowing pokegen through your firewall / turn off your antivirus / run pokegen as administrator / or anything else there is to do etc.. etc..

1. Red and blue were taken out a couple of updates ago.
2. Clicking the pokeball at the bottom just displays your pokemon's stats
3. Feraligator is not in the game yet, he is just used as a placeholder because you have no Pokemon to display stats for.
4. You didn't try everything! Backspace is to throw Pokeballs.

Unless you or the person who's server you're trying to connect to knows how to forward port Hamachi is your best bet. You need to download hamachi, connect to the other persons server, and then open Pokegen and enter their server details and hit connect to server. That is all

To use horn drill you have to charge it up. Just keep holding down the button you have the move set to. 4 Is the default button I think. Also it is meant to be hard to hit someone with because it is a 1 hit KO move

Probably not to many because nobody knows how to set it up. And even then hamachi can be set up within a couple of minutes and it is much easier

the Pokeball at the bottom displays the stats of the Pokemon which you currently have and since you have no Pokemon it is just using Feraligator as a placeholder. To catch Pokemon hit backspace

First off after you download the new patch make sure you hit the reset button before going in game! After that start your game, you will have no pokemon because you just reset so hitting tab wont do anything.
So you have to go catch new pokemon. To do this hit backspace to activate the pokeball and left click to throw.
Once you have pokemon (there should be a list on the right side of screen so you can check)now you can hit tab to throw them out.

Horn drill is a 1 hit KO move. The trick is actually landing it though! It's slow to charge up and can easily be cancelled by being attacked

More like the last Pokemon that has the the ability to evolve before they move on to other things. The Pokemon being in it's 1st evolution state or base form. Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander are also base form pokemon.
