Sorry for the delay in replying, the system doesn't email me when there is a message here.

a) Omnitech is somewhat bugged when you add armor in chunks larger than the standard (I don't recall the number off the top of my head). When you repair it gives the correct total hit points, it just allocates them in weird places. The options are to go back to the original armor numbers (which means Ferro and clan-Ferro give no bonus armor per slot) or deal with the weird distribution. As best I can tell this from the core game files and out of my control.

In addition to making Ferro useful, using the larger armor values makes mech much more durable and also allowing for a larger spread in weapon damages.

b) I do not think 2.40 has all the mechs or weapons that I used in the campaign. Thus I don't thing this campaign will work with that version. Feel free to try.

The one other area that may cause compatibility issues is the pilot files, you may need to edit them to make it compatible with the older version. Id just look at the pilot files from 2.40 and delete everything in mine that doesn't correspond to the 2.40 version.

Best of luck!

Each pilot name in the file starts with "pmc", change that to "pmw"

Mod is updated to fix that problem. I had changed the pilot file names after my bug checks and missed the old names in the purchase file for this mission.

Also, having played through it I am retweaking the engagement ranges of the units again to help keep so many of the Davion forces from heading north to fight Liao. Many levels are easy to get balance in one or two tries, but I have reworked level 12 at least 10 times and I am still not satisfied with the enemy attacks.

The quick load error is going to be something that relates back to the actual MCO coding and I have no idea what would cause that. To be honest, I never use quick save and quick load.

I am referring to Victoria Crossing. At the 10 minute mark there is a lance led by Adept Bondra that comes in to kill the Liao commander. Those are the blakists. They are coded to disapear when they get near the edge of the map after the liao commander is killed.

Now the second play through, if you have killed everybody and the game does not register that they are all dead, it probably means 1 of 2 things went wrong. #1, a unit listed in the victory condition failed to come on to the map. I put walls up on the edge of the map to help keep #1 from happening, but the little AI brains might have found a way to get lost. Or #2, some unit is hiding near the edge either because it is the blakists or some other unit that went far from its patrol path and got lost. I would bet it is one of these. In any mission the best course of action is to get a scout helicopter and run it along the edge of the map. The helicopter does a better job of spotting ECM mechs and off map units tend to get drawn on map by the helicopter.

So, exactly 4 of the enemy mechs (Blakist assassins) are supposed to disappear when they get to the edge of the map. Scripting their removal was the best way to have them seem to leave the battle field. But, having just re-tried the mission on a fresh install, I could not find any other enemy mechs that were disappearing and all my mechs seemed fine.

I have not had a mission fail to load mechs. Does this happen when you start the mission fresh from the menu or when you load back mid-mission? Is it the actual mechs that fail to load or the radar information that fails to load?

I have uploaded the corrected installer. Let me know if you have any other issues.

Updated to fix issue with mission 6 for users that did not have the old modified Carver V campaign that the Omnitech team put out. Let me know if you encounter any other issues.

Ah, that escaped my bug checks. It is a file from Magic's remake of the original campaign. It really does not matter what that file is because the only units to have them are "dead" mechs that have no pilots. I will patch the installer, but if you want to fix the problem without a new download, open acb_carver_06.fit and replace each "mc2_11_dred" with "DredAttack01".

Yeah, it looks like I accidentally deleted those two when I was deleting the .old backup files that the editor makes when you save your work. Problem is solved with the new installer. Mission 5 in particular is not a good one to lack an .abl file, a good bit is scripted. That was a bad mistake :(

New installer uploaded. CarverVredux.exe is the new file name and it should let you select the MechCommanderOmnitech folder. Sorry for the confusion, I have never made installers before.

It looks like this last version of the installer doesn't pop the menu up to select the spot for where the file goes and was set to install a data folder to [program files (x86)]. I am recompiling it and will re-upload.

The list of changes would be absurdly long. Every mech and tank had changes and I think I changed just about every weapon I left things like the rail gun and neutron gun alone because I have nothing to calibrate them to. But yeah, way more is changed than left the way it was.

The install goes straight into \MechCommanderOmnitech folder. The campaign should just be accessible from the MCO New Campaign button.
