"We should create a game that is current, but purposely forces players to not have such easy entitlements like 'save points.' In fact, we should make save points obsolete all together, make it so they have to revert back to password input to continue their progress." - Steve Buchholz (2006)

At that time I was in my early 20's, bantering similar bold yet tongue-in-cheek claims with my college buddy. We were in full swing of the cusp of the next console generation that I deemed the "PSWii60" era. During these times of corporate transition, veteran consumers like myself noticed a decline of new and innovative titles due to a new found focus on upcoming hardware. That is when I decided that if I were ever going to partake in the gaming industry I promised myself two things: 1) Never work for the company or companies that inspired me. I would have to play by their rules and make their games. I do not want to piggy back on HALO or Angry Birds, and 2) Focus solely on new games with full strength towards gameplay.

Creating a title has been an goal since 1996. I remember the moment like yesterday. But instead of walking down memory lane all you have to know that yes, my goal is to create one title the very least. I hope with current resources available I can achieve this feat. But D-Fi will never see the light of day if I keep blogging about it.
