Thats normal as the autoupdater removes the exe files to prevent anyone bypassing it in order to cheat.

Once you have ran both icons you then double click the black MU icon it will check all your files then simply click play freelancer.

Also as a side note if you are using windows vista then both the game and the autoupdater have to be ran as administrator and if you are using norton its advisable to uninstall it and use avg or avira as with norton it wont let you on the server.

You need to have a totally 100% fresh install of freelancer for the updater to work properly.

Yeah we been running the server for years, its just moddb when you register a new mod asks what date its coming out and has no option for already released
