In 17th Century, the Verenian Empire is at the northernmost part of the continent, surrounded by the Kingdom of Transia and Kingdom of Baranya.

The Verenian Empire is rich in iron ore, which can be used to build weapons and armor, therefore, the miners of Verenia worked day and night to meet the needs of the imperial war machine.

Vran was one of these miners. Later, the miners were dissatisfied with the perennial oppression of the empire. They respected Vran as their leader and formed a secret society called the Virgis Society.

Vran later met Mormont, a hero who resisted heavy taxes, and the two became friends and jointly created a great cause.

With the growing strength of the Virgis community, the time has come to launch a revolution.

Vran led the already prepared miners to launch the uprising firstly, and the uprising army defeated the imperial supervision forces and occupied the mine.

Mormont launched an uprising in the countryside, and the peasant army defeated the army composed of landlords and feudal forces.

After the success of the uprising, the two revolutionary armed forces were unified and reorganized into the First Army and the Second Army of the Virgis Revolutionary Army.

The Virgis Revolutionary movement inspired various forces in the empire that opposed the empire, and soon the empire faced a very unfavorable situation.

The empire had to seek help from the feudal church, and the Holy See was very frightened by the Virgis Revolution, so it summoned many countries to discuss countermeasures.

With the support of the Holy See, various feudal countries dispatched volunteers, prisoners and villains formed a feudal army called the Ulsus Crusaders, in an attempt to strangle the Virgis Revolution.

The Crusader is a religious army. Most of its leaders are priests approved by the Holy See or some figures of the world. The Crusaders have the most powerful heavy cavalry units. Their heavy knights can break through all defenses and are supplemented by some light infantrymen and crossbowmen.

At first, the Ulsus Crusaders were well-equipped and well-trained, and quickly defeated the poorly equipped revolutionary army.

The Ulsus Crusaders pursued and killed General Vran. Vran General in the execution ground shouting: "Long live the revolution!" And then he died like a hero.

After the death of General Vran, Mormont led the remaining revolutionary army and fled to the mountains to hide.

The Ulsus Crusaders thought that they had completely defeated the revolutionary forces and began to celebrate.

However, Mormont learned the lessons of the failure of the revolution and reorganized the revolutionary armed forces.

Mormon reorganized and trained the revolutionary armed forces in the mountains, rebuilt the Virgis Revolutionary Army, and at the same time, Mormon increased the leadership of the Virgis Community to the Revolutionary Army.

Not only that, Mormont re-drafted the revolutionary program, taking the wider peasants as the object of unity. The revolutionary army led the peasants to fight against the landlords and tycoons, and then distributed the land to the peasants.

The peasants actively participated in the revolutionary army, and then Mormont established a stronghold of the Virgis community in the countryside, propagated revolutionary ideas, and established a revolutionary base.

After just a few months of rest and reorganization, the Revolutionary Army attacked again. This time, the Virgis Revolutionary Army was already a powerful revolutionary force, and the Ulsus Crusaders were unable to resist the Revolutionary Army's offensive due to its serious corruption.

Due to the fierce offensive of the Revolutionary Army, the Paladins of the Crusaders unanimously decided to adopt a "cage policy", building blockades and blockades in an attempt to trap the Revolutionary Army.

In response to the enemy's strategy, the revolutionary army took countermeasures. The Revolutionary Army formed two expeditionary forces, called the "Northern Task Force" and the "Southern Task Force". These two task forces were responsible for attacking the North and South Crusaders' blockade.

Therefore, the Revolutionary Army has expanded from two armies under its jurisdiction to six armies. Among them, the 1st Army and the 2nd Army are still under the command of the Revolutionary Army Headquarters, and the 3rd Army and the 5th Army are under the command of the Northern Task Force, and the 4th Army and 6th Army are under the command of the Southern Task Force.

So the structure of Virgis Revolutionary Army became like this:

  • Virgis Revolutionary Army
    • Virgis Revolutionary Army Headquarters
      • 1st Army
      • 2nd Army
    • Virgis Northern Task Force
      • 3rd Army
      • 5th Army
    • Virgis Southern Task Force
      • 4th Army
      • 6th Army

Revolutionary forces in the North and South launched an attack on the Ulsus Crusaders and quickly destroyed the Ulsus Crusaders’ blockade and siege of the Revolutionary Army.

Not only that, in order to fight the heavy cavalry of the Crusaders, the revolutionary army is generally equipped with muskets and artillery, these weapons can effectively kill the heavy cavalry.

The peasants sharpened the long wood to prevent the cavalry from attacking the infantry formation, these tactical improvements have a great guarantee for the victory of the revolutionary army.

Nevertheless, the main force of the revolutionary army is still armed citizens or armed peasants with swords and shields.

The Revolutionary Army launched an offensive in the South and North at the same time, which caught the Ulsus Crusaders off guard, and the Ulsus Crusaders were not strong enough to cope with defensive operations in multiple directions. The Ulsus Crusaders were quickly divided into three parts, and finally the Ulsus Crusaders in the north and the center were wiped out, leaving only the southern part still resisting.

The Ulsus Crusaders sent a message to the Holy See for help, so the Holy See collected some troops and formed a mighty reinforcement army, marching hurriedly to help the crusaders in danger.

However, the reinforcements were blocked by the Virgis army near the border, and therefore failed to rescue the Ulsus Crusaders.

The Ulsus Crusaders have their lair in the south, so the revolutionary army integrated its forces and launched a fierce attack on the Ulsus Crusaders’ base in the south. After several days of fierce fighting, the revolutionary army broke through the crusaders’ lair- The Eagle City, which also marked the Ulsus Crusaders were completely defeated.

The Ulsus Crusaders were completely defeated by the revolutionary army and fled the empire in a hurry, while other countries once again formed intervention forces in an attempt to stifle the revolution again.

The Revolutionary Army adopted the tactics of segmentation, encirclement and various defeats, defeating the multinational intervention army, and maintaining the victory of the revolution.

The Revolutionary Army quickly established the new Virgis Republic, and Mormont was elected as the first president, which turning a new page in history.
