Report RSS Urelank's Storm

Urelank is a village on the southwest border of the empire. There is no village in this place, because there are many mountains, but since the necromancers gathered the undead army, the whole empire has been in war, so many people have to wander around for avoid the war.

The undead army killed and burned the villages and towns in the empire, causing great chaos in the empire. The imperial authorities mobilized heavy troops to besiege the undead army, and destroyed the undead army after paying huge casualties. Many necromancers were arrested and punished to death.

But the undead army did not disappear. They continued to accumulate strength in the undead castle in the northern part of the empire and were always ready to invade again. Therefore, the empire had to build many forts and maintain a huge army on the border.

Huge armies and military fortresses require a lot of funds to maintain operations, which is why the imperial tax rate has been high.

Many refugees gathered in this place during the war. These refugees established settlements near the Wurelank Mountains. Later these settlements developed into villages, and many villages joined together to form the Wurelank village.

Urelank villages are scattered throughout the mountainous area, and the population is increasing. The empire has sent commanders and tax collectors to the villages to manage the villages.

The imperial tax rate has risen from 60% to 70%. People's lives are getting harder and harder. Those who cannot pay taxes will be punished, usually flogged, and in severe cases may be imprisoned.

At first, the villagers tended to be patient with the high taxes of the empire, after all, to fight the undead, but as the tax rate rose to 80%, people gradually became unbearable.

The village elders negotiated with tax collectors hoping to reduce the tax rate, because years of war resulted in poor crop harvests and could not pay so many taxes, and the empire should allow villages and towns to form militia forces to share the empire’s military pressure.

Of course this suggestion was rejected, negotiations also broke down.

Not only that, in order to punish the arrogance of the villagers, the tax collectors arbitrarily raised the village tax rate to 95%, and the commanders deployed the army outside the village to prevent the villagers from resisting.

Finally, the extremely high tax rate became the last straw to crush the villagers. The villagers secretly prepared weapons under the organization of the elders and held an uprising on another day.

Due to the lack of iron weapons, the villagers used long wood sharpened as spears to resist the imperial cavalry, while the villagers used wooden forks, hoes, etc. to resist infantry. In this way, 450 villagers met with 120 imperial troops outside the village, and the two sides began a fierce battle.

The imperial cavalry charged first, and the villager's spearmen used wooden spears to defeat the cavalry's offensive. Then the villagers carried wooden forks and hoes in a bloody battle with the imperial soldiers. The battle lasted for a whole day, and finally defeated the imperial army.

But the matter was not over yet. The villagers abandoned the village and ran to the mountains in order to continue their resistance. After the imperial reinforcements arrived, they set fire to the village.

The Empire mobilized more than 1,000 people to besiege the insurgents. The insurgents used the mountains to deal with the imperial army, but they were finally defeated by the imperial army because of outnumbered. Later, the imperial army killed all the surrendered insurgents and hung their heads in entrance of the village. The uprising failed.

Later, due to the imperial imperial tax policy, there were many movements against the imperial in various places. The imperial mobilized troops to besiege these insurgents, but the border defense was attacked by the undead army.

The death knight Locke carried out a mass poisoning incident in the border city of Rui'an, he dressed in disguise, used spells to become an entrepreneur, and built the water pipes and a water company in Ruian City, after that he release poisons in the water pipes of Ruian City, causing the whole city of Ruian City to be poisoned, and then he guided the undead army to conquer Ruian City.

The 200,000 soldiers and civilians in Ruian City all died because of the poison, and none of them survived. After the undead army occupied the city, they set fire burned the whole city.

So the undead army again invaded the empire, and the undead war that lasted for more than ten years was staged again.

Maybe I'm too old. As soon as I see the word undead, I think of Azeroth world. After all, the golden age of playing games was when I was in college. I basically didn't touch new games after graduation.

Uh, the undead should have appeared in the Warhammer series at the beginning. There are many derivatives of Warhammer, such as Lord of the Rings, Wesnoth, and Warcraft are also based on a derivative of Warhammer.
