Hello!

The stutter is due to the fact that the game's graphics is not pixel perfect, but is viewed through an orthographic 3d camera. That means a pixel in a texture will not be a pixel on your screen but possibly several pixels, and can vary depending on where exactly the camera is positioned at the moment. There is one thing that can be done: the stutter will be less and less apparent the higher resolution you use.

Great feedback. I've been thinking the same thing, and if/when I get the chance to do a proper update, I will improve the item tracker, probably even go as far as minimap markers, depends, will have to try some things and see what works best...

On windows and OSX when you start up the game, a prelauncher window will appear. You can set up screen resolution, full screen/windowed and vsync. In the other tab you can remap your controllers. It's been tested only with the xbox 360 controller. If you have problems mapping the gamepad, another possible solution is to use software that remaps the gamepad to keyboard inputs.

The Linux version does not have button remapping and resolution settings because Unity does not include the prelauncher in the linux version. So at the moment I'm still contemplating if i should even have linux support or not. Thats why I didn't want to include the Linux version.

Some quick news:

* Hall of Fame
I just posted an official Hall of Fame on the game's website: Operationsmash.com For those interested in speedrunning, check that out! There is prizes to be won as well!

* Next Update
I am working on an update where the controls will be easier to configure and will work good on Linux as well. I am also thinking about future content additions to the game, but still trying to estimate how long it will take to create, so I will not say anything definite at this point.

* Feedback wanted!
If you have any impressions, opinions, suggestions or feedback after playing the game, please do send them to contact@OperationSmash.com or as a pm to me.

Good question! I have been thinking about making a demo, but for the time being I cant promise anything. It would be great to be able to judge how good the game runs on your computer before buying.

Yes, I plan to add better gamepad and remapping support for all platforms in the next update. It's a shame the unity one does not cover Linux.

The best solution I've heard of for Linux is to use an application called qjoypad to remap the gamepad to keystrokes.

Sounds to me like you need to have another go at the lava area :)

Got it. The prelauncher not remembering the resolution i think i will not be able to do anything about for now but I will have another look at it.

If you have a screen with that resolution the option should be shown in the list, and it does not?

Regarding an item to reveal where all the secrets are, there is one item that helps you but does not reveal all the secrets. Maybe there should be one to give hints on whats left to collect.

Just wanted to clarify that if you buy this game on Desura and it later becomes available on Steam, you will receive a Steam Key.

I'm going to make better gamepad support one of the main focuses of the first update, most probably I will add an in-game menu that works equally well on all platforms.

Nice to hear you like the game! :)

Ok cool. I've been using a USB XBOX360 controller during development, in OSX though. And using "Xbox 360 Controller Driver" software to make the XBOX360 controller work in OSX.

The GamePad support is shaky at times, because I'm using the Default prelauncher by Unity. In Win and OSX it should work to remap to gamepad, if not, try a gamepad to keyboard mapper. In Linux the prelauncher is unfortunately not included at this time, which means you will net to use a gamepad to keyboard mapper.

Hey!

I'm glad you like it! I did indeed use 2DToolkit and it's something i would recomend, very easy to use, and it comes with a great tilemap editor inside of Unity so no need to build an importer etc...
