Ahoj,

Today I bought the Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts hoping to play this mod. Being of Czech descent, finding this, it seemed like a must ;-), But do I have to buy the Tales of Valor expansion pack to play it?

I say this because after I extracted the zip file with the mod, added it to the directory above and created the short cut, what it seems to do is simply send me to the opening screen of Opposing Fronts which has a lot of its options locked, noting that I'd need to buy the Tales of Valor expansion pack to play them. So I'm wondering if to open this Czech mod would require the same.

But "being Czech" I'd like to know if I have to buy that extra expansion pack before I do so ;-)

Yes, the Sedeten parts of Bohemia and Moravia were largely ethnic German but Bohemia and Moravia were part Austria-Hungary not Germany.

The thing is that the Czechs would have seen their country destroyed (the battle plan was, once the frontier defenses were breached to do a fighting retreat into the mountains of Slovakia and to stay there, with the army still largely intact until "the Allies" (France and the Soviet Union) would launch offensives against Germany.

It is remarkable that the CZECH leadership was willing to sacrifice THEIR OWN (CZECH part of the) COUNTRY for the sake of fighting Hitler. But when the French decided that they were not going to fight without Britain and Britain made it clear that they were _not_ going to war for the sake of the Czechs, the math just didn't add up. The Czechs would have sacrificed their country for nothing.

I'm of Czech descent as well and know well what the Munich Crisis / Betrayal did to the Czech psyche.

I'm honestly looking forward to _at least a game_ where Czechs can fight the Nazis AS CZECHS. Thanks for doing this / "děkuji moc krát" -- Zdeněk Křížů ;-)

The vast majority who died because of their religion died because they were Jewish... But a lot of Czechs also died simply because they were Czech (Slavs...). Heidrich's plan was to "re-nationalize the Czechs" (make them into Germans) and to "re-locate" (exterminate) the rest. That's why he was eventually assassinated.

Hi so when will the Czechoslovakia 1938 game come out? Know a bunch of us who'd be interested ;-)
