The add-on version available on Mod DB (and related servers) needs to be installed on an original Hidden Stroke 2 CD game up-to-date with latest patch (2.0.2b).
As this is now a difficult to find game (not to mention finding the original patches), AND as it has also been abandoned as an abandonware (Sudden Strike 2 "naked game" engine released on Gametop.com), we have decided to provide you links to a full "stand-alone" version. Click on "Read more +" in the description. See the "Deposit File" link. You can download the full game here. It means the original HS2 game already patched with the mod and functioning without any CD. Interface is in French (but if you already played SS2 then it's easy to understand), while some missions and campaigns remain in English.

French campaigns will be available in the final version.

- The first one will be short and will explain the reasons of the quick defeat (which is mainly political failure, NOT a lack of soldier's bravery - spare us the "white flag" jokes). The final missions of this first campaign will be some "Free France" missions with hard difficulty (the Bir Hakeim battle will be one of these).

- The second campaign will be an alternate history one, following the events of the "France Fights On" timeline. In this timeline the French government and army move to North Africa and continue fighting. The beginning of the campaign will be similar until the POD. Then it will follow the French counter-attack in North Africa, against the Italian colonial empire. Difficulty will be easy. Then will come the "Liberation" missions, more difficult. This campaign will tell you what should have been WW2 (and the world after this war) if our government didn't cowardly betray its soldiers.

Then follow the instructions in the "How to install that add-on version on your game" section.

For latter fights you can use U.S. equipment. Free France had Lend-Lease contract with the Americans, so basically you can apply to them US material with minor camo changes.

An English version is indeed planned. It will be part of a translation pack including several languages. Although this will be made at the end of the development.
