The x series has all ways been a fav of mine, I'm not great at the stock market but I can thread a flat out discoverer through argon ones engine compartments (x2). I thought I had played it all using some mods to import low detailed ships, I even saved the whole of humanity from Cyclon raiders but still I found the game lacking some thing to keep me hooked on the story. But then came this mod, at first I was sceptical! Such a big idea for one person to take on, I thought the game could never balance out capital ships like the star destroyers vs a Pelta cruiser, I never saw my self as a space pirate or scavenger just trying to make ends meet... but OMG just doesn't do it justice. "Spolier alert" using all my combat no how I worked my way in to the alliance. They picked me for there high profile missions and I flew threw the ranks taking on scores of tie fighters, I got so far with them they awarded me a hammer head corvette and then it began huge ship battles, me struggling to keep shields and the ship I was meant to be protecting alive as imperial custom cruisers barrelled down on me wave after wave. It was looking good the alliance had jumped in and blocked of the imperials from escape, but it was not over the imperials had an ace in there sleeve that they through on to the board, a imperial class star destroyer armed to the teeth will turbo lasers that was only out numbered by its shield count! This was it a fight to the death me and my small group of fighters approached slowly as we watched the ICSD rip through the rebel fleet one by one. An mc80 exploded before my eyes then a nebulan B and like fire works in the sky the fleet had been brought to its knees.... but that's just one story I have there are countless heroic battles ragging in this universe and it blends with the game so well. I would like to see the CIS ships given to the teldia as I think they are the least customised race and maybe a bounties hunter star where you are chased by the imperials in stead of pirates.
There's always new ships coming out and bugs begin fixed. A few more mission egustments and this might as well be the Star Wars space game for the next gen!!!
Love your work keep it up you amazing people and remember pilots if you see a tie fighter in open space! It's not alone....
