Sorry I did not check messages in a long time and I have no idea what I wrote.

Hello all.
I would like to take the time to tell you this mod is finally released. We had to roll it back to private beta testing to work out some of the demands of the Competition commuity. We have release a "Self Updater" and game launcher. You will not be able to Play this game if you do not launch through the file checker. Consequently your files will always match the files of the people you are playing against. IE: fair game play. We have released a few new beta maps such as DOD_Chemille under its beta name dod_coire_rc2 and DOD_Railroad3. You will find the fps in thses maps to be substantially higher then the dod source maps and you will find game play to be smoother with greater shot registration and smaller "cone of fire". Please post your likes and dislikes on this here forum.

Mew that is actually quite comical. Goto the valve forums and mention DOD:c. You will be forum nuked faster then you think.

We have been added to vapour but since it is a DOD:S mod and not an hl2 mod do not bother trying to launch it from vapour. However you can update the mod and install it from Vapour.

Don't be afraid of a little criticism. It looks like CSS in the screens. What is the diffrence? Your leg breaks and you move slow? I mean I will try it don't get me wrong but it does look alot like css.

Is there any real reason this mod has to be source? To me the old mod looks just as good. Seems like the Source port is the thing to do even though the HL1 mod was great.
If you do not own HL2 and think you are missing something with these mods don't worry you are not missing much yet.

DOD:S did not have a chance. In other news the mod is growing into new maps and new models and weapon classes. the future updates will rely less on the DOD gcf.

You really need to add some images. Get some exitment about this thing. I have played the internal and it is so much better then HLDM. Really fun mod for all.

They did the test from 50 ft out. If they were any further the bullets would have not even hit the board.

This mod would probably be pretty how if it was not attached to dods and attached to hl2. But enuff of my pointless comments. Download the game and pub it. here are 2 lovely pub servers you can try:

For some reason the small patch is not showing in the downloads. Please goto www.emocide.com/scrimdod/DODCPatch.exe to get the small patch so you can go into the servers without the smoke error.

How is a mod hurting the community if it is a better game play then what the "Dev team" can come up with? The biggest online gaming league CAL has already stated they are going to DOD C and leaving regular source. Which makes me think of another time in DOD life DOD 3.1 which was not made by valve and was a hell of a good time.
The big diffrence that made DOD popular enuff to goto a retail version is they actually listened to clanners and the needs of leagues. Which is exactly what the DOD:C team is paying attention to.

I am in the DOD community since 1.3 beta. The community hates DOD source. We are patiently awaiting a mod that is made by league players. Maybe we can have some input on this mod and hopefully it will be competitive. Cheack out what we did with DOD competition mod as far as Cone of fire with dod source.
