Honestly, It's one of the best doom mods out there and this one is no exception. However, there are things to consider about the gameplay which I find it to be flawed at best. Brutally difficult at times, bullet spongey enemies, sometimes un-balanced sections, some bosses lacking threats to the player and constant performance issues. Despite these flaws, I enjoyed it for the most part and the amount of efforts that put into this mod is amazing.
Unfortunately when you carved yourselves to the idiots from Doomworld and took down v3.0 after what happened in that shitstorm. I am seriously distraught about it. I don't care how little you censor little things of this mod for v3.1, still not a great move and clearly there is a reason why people are seriously against this especially in a WOLFENSTEIN mod. This is also why people are keeping v3.0 into their own hands, and re-upload it rightfully so, it clearly speaks for itself.
With that being said, originally 8/10 for this review but now 5/10 thanks to you caving in to those idiots and enacted censorship in a WOLFENSTEIN mod.
Of course since Blade of Agony supports addons, I pray for someone who can make an un-censored addon for v3.1. If it happens then I'll reconsider changing this review, but this one and the score shall stay for now.
You know what, I'm not even surprised he has done this political abomination for a Doom mod that the classic game itself have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with whatsoever. Seriously, we DO NOT need this ****.
This is beyond ridiculous and ********. This SHOULD NOT exist for a Half-Life mod whatsoever. Hell, he even did the same for Doom II recently which I'm not surprised.
What HeXen 2 really needs is This. Not only it fixes some of the combat issues especially using Game of Tomes mod, it cranks that up to the next level. The map designs are well done and it does bring some nice atmosphere. The puzzles on the other hand isn't too tough but good enough! Now if things are more polished and some rebalances in the final release and several bug-fixes, This will be a great mod.
