So I did a fresh 1.143 install, I am running the mod with WSE as suggested by idragon... what am I missing?

I can't get any messages on the world map. The messages on the battle maps are working fine and as far as I can tell all other features are ok as well.

And before somebody asks, I am not using any cracked version or whatever.

Looks like a nice mod but without any info about whats going on in the world, it just doesn't feel right.
Did anyone experience the same problem and managed to fix it?
